This is what I'm working on right now. There are two things I love a lot; old window sashes and iconic images. Thankfully, I've got quite an assortment of window sashes that I've been accumulating over time. Since I'm big on using old materials in a new way, installing a painting under a window sash just seemed downright sensible to me. When Van Gogh painted The Starry Night in 1889, it was his view from the east-facing window of his asylum room at Saint-Remy-de-Provence.
I've still got some more work to do on this painting before I can call it finished. I am happy to be finding new and different ways to explore painting.
