Studio dreams and new work
It was so beautiful outside yesterday. After a long winter, it finally felt like a burst of spring in the air. So I laced up my hiking boots and went for a long walk on the Wissahickon Trail. I've been fantasizing about having a studio outside of my home "someday". I recently saw a quote that read: There are 7 days in a week; Someday isn't one of them. But still...I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around having "that kind of studio". In my perfect world, my studio would be a small out building out in the country. It would have just the kind of vibe that welcomes good sunlight, a nice patch of earth outside of it for an old weathered Adirondack chair or two, and quiet. Lots of quiet. On the trail yesterday, I came across an old stone outbuilding with yellow shutters. It was literally steps away from the creek. I fell in love with it immediately. I could get used to a studio like this.
In the meantime, back in the home studio, I've got 2 new paintings to work on.
And I've just finished another amulet bag.
