What's next?

It's Monday morning. I'm sitting in my studio sipping my coffee and thinking about what's next. This past weekend I had my first juried show for my paintings. All in all, it was a success. I sold some paintings and met some really amazing artists. I'm not sure that the show circuit would be for me on a regular basis but I can say that I love meeting people and I feel most alive when I'm steeped in a creative environment. More and more, I find myself really knowing that I am a square peg in a round world. And the best part of that? I am completely okay with all of it. I am a creative force that just does not, and never has, been a one-size-fits-all kind of a girl.
I swear, my mind is like a percolating coffee pot. The ideas bubble up to the surface constantly. Now that my two major June shows are complete, I am going to take a little time to exhale and pay attention to the things that have been calling me. There have been some changes underfoot for some time now and I am excited to see what's next. I want some time to wander, explore some new places, take more photos, make more art, and fill myself up with new possibilities.
