Daily Life in Photos: snapshot #4

There are moments that nearly take my breath away. I had such a moment this morning when I woke up and thought about my son sitting at the airport waiting to board a plane for South Korea. He's my first born with a special place tucked inside my heart for an eternity. My kids and I have been through a lot over the years and it was not always easy. But both of them are young adults now, living their lives doing exactly what they want to be doing. It makes me so happy to know that their young adult lives are starting off in such amazing directions. I couldn't ask for more than two independent kids who are my heart and soul.

I have so many physical snapshots of the kids in the younger years. Back then, it seemed like they would stay kids forever. In the blink of an eye, they grew up and moved out. When I was a teenager, I wanted to be a flight attendant but my parents wanted me to go the college route. If I could go back in time, I would rock that navy blue uniform and a sensible pair of pumps as I flew to all kinds of destinations unknown. So, it's especially heartwarming to see my son having the travel adventures that I dreamed of when I was his age. Last year it was Japan. This year, South Korea. What will next year's stamp in his passport be? May he always get bitten by the wanderlust bug. And may I be blessed with the opportunity to one day take an extraordinary adventure with him.

I love you, Max. Be safe, travel well, and may the blue skies follow you wherever you go.
