Daily Life in Photos: snapshot #5
"She used to say that she could taste sleep and that it was delicious as a BLT on fresh French bread."
It's funny how, even when I'm bone weary, I'm still thinking of something delicious to eat. I used to be one of those people who NEVER napped. Nowadays, I have to get up lots of mornings at 4am and sometimes, as early as 3am. Suffice to say, my position on naps has changed. When I got home from work today, I went straight upstairs and took a nap and it was delicious. That's seriously how it felt when I laid down and covered myself with the softest blanket imaginable. It was mid-afternoon, the sun filtered through the blinds in the most subtle way, and I felt like I was wrapped up in a little cloud.
I also feel like maybe I'm resting and gearing up for whatever is next on the journey. Life is constantly changing and moving us forward. I'm ready for a more predictable schedule that affords me more time and energy to get back to my painting.
